Meet Pete

“Pete and his dad are breathing easier, thanks to you!”

Handsome tuxedo cat Pete was a beloved friend and playmate to his cat brother, and to their parent, Dean. Wearing his harness and sitting on the grass outside their home was one of Pete’s favorite activities, even when he wasn’t feeling his best.

While Pete had experienced respiratory issues in the past, Dean kept a close eye on him and had been able to manage the symptoms at home. However, when Pete’s symptoms worsened, Dean’s veterinarian let them know that Pete would need an antibiotic treatment and a steroid shot to help him through this symptom flare-up.

Dean would do whatever he could to help Pete feel better, but the treatment Pete needed would stretch his budget too thin, and there weren’t any local funds available to help. After searching online for veterinary care resources, Dean found the RedRover Relief Urgent Care grants program and applied for Pete’s treatment.
