Thank you for helping Reiki!

When Avi learned that Reiki needed surgery for an urgent issue with his spleen, Avi did everything he could to make the surgery happen, including selling his car – but Avi still did not have enough money to save his best friend’s life. Avi contacted RedRover and sent us an emotional application pleading for our help.
“Reiki is my life. I suffer from a rare medical issue: my lung collapses. Reiki has been trained to let me know before this happens allowing me to get to the hospital before the damage cannot be repaired. Without treatment, I would not survive.
Reiki and I have never been apart for more than a few days since I took him as my son. Yes, he is my kid with a tail and he is my family; I don’t have any human ones.
Reiki is sick and needs his spleen removed. Without the surgery, he will die. I’ve taken him to a few vets, which has cost me everything I have. I even sold my car. Reiki is all I have; please help us.”
We couldn’t deny the unbreakable bond Avi and Reiki share, or Avi’s application for help. Thanks to support from caring people like you, we were able to give Avi a RedRover Relief financial assistance grant, and Reiki received the lifesaving surgery he needed. We recently received the following update from Avi: “The doctor was able to successfully remove the spleen, and said if he would have waited, Reiki would have bled out… he is going to be in pain for a while until he heals up, but he’s strong, like his daddy. I had a lot of lung surgeries so I have an idea of how best to comfort him. We both thank you for your help.”
