RedRover Responders stand at the ready to provide emergency animal sheltering assistance to the animals displaced by the California wildfires burning in Yolo, Napa and Lake Counties, if our help is needed and requested. Our hearts go out to all the people and animals impacted, and we honor everyone assisting with rescuing and caring for the animals. Here is a list of currently available emergency animal shelters and resources in California.

  • Lake County residents needing assistance during this evacuation should contact the American Red Cross at 707-577-7600. (via Lake County Sheriff’s Office)
  • UC Davis Veterinary Emergency Response Team faculty and students are working with Cal OES on animal evacuations and sheltering plans.
  • RedRover Relief: Financial assistance grants for emergency veterinary care. Applications accepted online.
