Animals are feeling the love in Los Angeles

How does RedRover Readers make an impact? Here’s one teacher’s inspiring story:
My students and I LOVE RedRover Readers!! Every year the program brings new animal advocates to the forefront of the inner city, and this year is no exception! One by one (and sometimes many more), animal lives are being made better because students find their own voice and speak up freely to each other, to their families and their community.
We helped two families unchain their dogs and set them up in dog runs, rescued kittens from the street (literally taking them off their dead mother who had been run over, but miraculously three of the four kittens survived), and set up a stray cat spay/neuter schedule to get 23 cats and seven kittens sterilized from a “hoarder’s” house when a student approached me and asked if I could help. Anyway, just wanted to let you know some of the work RedRover is responsible for this school year.
