Donation Campaign Runs Through Domestic Violence Awareness Month
Sacramento, CA – (October 2, 2018) RedRover is excited to announce that Embrace Pet Insurance will donate $2 to the RedRover Relief program for every policy sold in the month of October. RedRover’s Relief program provides sheltering assistance for animals of domestic violence survivors and financial and emotional support for pet owners in need of emergency veterinary care.
RedRover President and CEO Nicole Forsyth said, “RedRover is so thankful for the generous support of Embrace Pet Insurance and their help to elevate awareness about the link between domestic violence and animal abuse during Domestic Violence Awareness Month. We believe pets are family, and this donation will help provide many safe nights for both survivors and their pets escaping an abusive environment.”
RedRover and Embrace both believe that pets are family. Since 2007, RedRover has awarded 606 grants to help 1,080 people with 23,323 nights of boarding for their pets through their Safe Escape program. Since the inception of the Safe Housing program in 2012, 73 grants have been awarded to domestic violence shelters for a total of $477,563.77. RedRover has funded 61 out of the 172 domestic violence shelters that house pets in the United States.
Giving back to the pet community is a company core value for Embrace, and partnering with RedRover is a natural fit.
